The Big Mystery
I've been getting a lot of questions about the specifics of this summer and more often than not, my answer is 'I don't know'. You see, it seems that the National Park Service specializes in vagueness. Maybe this is a test of ingenuity or flexibility, or maybe it's a lesson in letting go of some of my overly meticulous character traits.
I will try to answer some of your questions with my best vague answers...
I have some sort of housing in the park. I'm guessing (hoping) it has four walls of some sort and I'm guessing (hoping) there is no TV.
I know from a recent trip to SNP that I have no cell phone service. While this is ideal for wilderness excursions, it may make it hard to call for a pizza.
That brings me to another point.. will I be able to update this thing? Who knows! I doubt that blogging would pass as sorting peregrine falcon data at work. I do have school work to complete over the summer, so I may get some practice at some old-fashioned, non-technological ways (aka, pencil and paper) pending the computer situation.
Will I be recruiting you to come hike with me? Absolutely!

heeeeeck yeah!! You better believe there will be at least one visit from me and my pack this summer... i'll bring the oatmeal, you bring the babaganoush! AND, in the fall, since i'll be in Philly, we can finally go check out some of the Lehigh Valley trails, i CAN'T WAIT!!
Since Emily is going to hike with you already, do I still need to come down and go too? Just kidding, you know I will (for at least 2 days, no more!). Still taking any temporary fill-ins for the summer. Or mail me some meals, that would work.
